Zeds not Ded, he's playing in a desert punk band

We here at Skelmbosch take pride in our local artists. Many famous musicians started their journey here. Zed's not Ded is quickly making moves towards becoming another big name in the Stellenbosch music scene. So now the question beckons... Who is Zed's not Ded?

Aran Grace (drummer and backup vocalist), Sian Heesom-Green (guitarist and lead vocalist) and Lourens Swart (Bassist) form this three piece "Psychedelic desert punk" band. The band was formed in February 2018 when Aran and Sian posted a video of them performing on Instagram. Lourens saw the video and approached the pair and asked if they would be willing to perform with him at his residence, Simonsberg. This turned out to be their first gig, and they've been at it ever since.

The band regularly plays gigs in and around Stellenbosch at venues such as Aandklas and other local watering holes. "We're still a baby band; our ultimate goal is to be able to play at the psychedelic rock festival"

The band is currently recording their first EP with Ruan Vos, the release date is still unknown, but be sure to keep an eye out as this trio is one to watch.
